CCL Background

CCL is the largest provider of professional aircrew to Korean Air. We currently manage the contracts of close to 50% of Korean Air’s total expat pilot group. Korean Air's unique worldwide commuting system, its fleet of modern aircraft and the professional operation of the airline makes this one of the most appealing and desirable contracts for expat air crew.

CCL is managed and operated by aviation industry professionals to serve the international professional pilot community. We firmly believe that Korean Air offers the best expat commuting contract of any international airline and as such CCL has invested our resources exclusively in partnering Korean Air for the development of their expat pilot program. We continually review the variety of other pilot contracts available in order to be able to offer only the highest quality pilot job & career opportunities, and this serves to confirm the benefits and advantages that the KOREAN AIR program has to offer.

CCL Recruiting for Korean Air

Specialists within the CCL team work together with our pilot applicants to provide a seamless process from assistance with the initial application (including individual pilot briefings for screenings and interviews) to joining Korean Air and throughout the full contract term to retirement. We maintain a high level of contactability and welcome communication from our Captains and First Officers. This process of personal involvement with all our applicant pilots has proven to have been a significant factor in the high achievement and success levels attained by CCL Captains and First Officers during screening, joining and initial training.

Advantages of the Korean Air Contract

Korean Air pilots enjoy business class travel from their nearest Korean Air port for their monthly commute which combined with stable monthly schedules provides 11 consecutive days at home each month.

Excellent tax paid salaries combined with quality hotel accommodation provided throughout Korean Air’s global route network of 130 cities and one of the world’s youngest fleet of modern jet aircraft are all factors in creating a high level of job satisfaction for Korean Air’s pilots. Several of CCL’s expat captains have been flying with Korean Air for more than 15 years and many of CCL’s applicant pilots are referred by friends and colleagues currently flying with the airline.

Further Background on CCL

CCL is a global organisation with our headquarters in the Isle of Man and offices in New Zealand, UK, Singapore and USA, which provide continuous contactability across all time zones. All banking and contractual matters for our Korean Air pilots are managed through our New Zealand office, which offers a high level of financial stability. CCL provides emergency medical and travel insurance for all our flight crew and offers the very best world-wide medical cover and loss of income insurance.

CCL instructor pilots provide all Korean Air’s flight simulator training for one of our major international clients, Boeing Training. This provides CCL with a significant flight operation and commitment in Korea taking our number of line and instructor pilots (in Korea) to more than 300. Qualified and experienced instructor pilots who wish to continue their aviation careers past age 65 (Korean Air's max retirement age) are encouraged to apply through CCL for training opportunities in Korea as well as other flight training centres including Miami, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
